Actively cooperates with public agencies and professional archaeologists in preserving the valley's cultural resources. Publishes a monthly newsletter keeping members informed of the society's activities as well as ongoing professional research. Publishes an occasional paper series of professional quality research in history and archaeology. Assists professional archaeologists in various types of archaeological field work.
